ESIC Chandigarh: In Chandigarh, ESI Scheme has been implemented on 07.10.1962. A total of 130200 insured persons (as on 31.03.22 approved by Hqrs) and their family members are covered under the Scheme. Full medical care has been provided to IPs and their family members through one (01) ESIC Model Hospital, Industrial Area, Phease-II, Ramdarbar and two (02) dispensaries in Chandigarh. Cash Benefits are disbursed through one(01) Branch Office. To administer the scheme, Regional Office is located at Sector-19A, Chandigarh.

ESIC Punjab: In Punjab, ESI Scheme was initially implemented on 17.05.1953 in five centres in Amritsar, Jalandhar & Ludhiana districts which has now been extended to 49 implemented areas covering 1216430 (as on 31.03.2022 approved by Hqrs) insured persons and their dependent family members. To administer the cash benefits there are 23 Branch Offices and 03 DCBOs spread all over Punjab. The Regional Office is located at Chandigarh and two (02) SROs at Ludhiana & Jalandhar have also been set up to cater the need of local stakeholders. Full medical care has been provided to IPs through 69 ESI Dispensaries, 1 ESI Model Hospital and 6 State run Hospital.
